Ginkgo biloba - excellent support for the nervous system

Ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba) is a true living fossil, as it is unrelated to any plant species alive today and its structure is almost identical to the fossil remains of trees more than 200 million years old. It has a very long life span and can grow up to 40 metres in height.

It is native to China, where it is traditionally used in herbalism, but otherwise has been used since ancient times. It is particularly popular for its effects on the nervous system, contributing to nervous and mental balance.

Bioherba brand tincture is made from ginkgo leaves soaked in glycerin, which gives it a sweet taste. Glycerin is a colourless, odourless liquid, slightly thicker than water.

A daily dose of the tincture is equivalent to 500 mg of ginkgo biloba.
