Lactitol - for effective and frequent voiding

Lactitol is a sugar substitute obtained from milk sugar or lactose. Its taste is similar to table sugar (sucrose), reaching about 35% of its sweetness. Because of its properties, lactitol is an extremely effective laxative.

It is one of the mechanical laxatives, more specifically an osmotic laxative, as it softens the stool. It works by attracting water from the intestinal wall by osmosis, increasing the volume of the stool, which becomes softer and easier to expel.

Lactitol contributes to normal bowel function by increasing stool frequency. The beneficial effect is achieved when 10 g of lactitol is taken in one daily dose - which is also provided by Sanct Bernhard lactitol.

The product is a dietary supplement.

Use

Recommended Daily Dose: Mix 1 lightly heaped tablespoon of powder in a glass of water or juice (at least 200 ml) and drink.

Caution: The recommended daily amount or dose must not be exceeded. This dietary supplement is not a substitute for a balanced and varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Keep out of reach of children! The amount of the filling is subject to technical reasons. People on a lactose-free diet should not take this product. Like other laxatives, lactitol increases potassium losses caused by other medications. This is especially true for people who are being treated for certain heart conditions, so they can take lactitol only after consulting a doctor. Store in a dry place, protected from light and at a temperature below 25°C.
