Opis

Quick test to detect vitamin D3 levels from a blood sample

Vitamin D3 is an extremely important vitamin for humans. Many people call it the "sunshine vitamin" because the sun is essential for its production - it is formed in the skin by UV rays. In the autumn or winter months, or in periods of less sunny weather when we spend more time indoors, the need for vitamin D3 supplementation increases...

It is especially during these times that vitamin D deficiency can occur, which can manifest as feelings of fatigue and exhaustion, muscle cramps and weakness, dental problems, susceptibility to infections, sleep disturbances, mood changes, dry skin, brittle bones, etc.

Quick and easy to use - reliable results in just 10 minutes!

Benefits of the White Lab Rapid Vitamin D3 Blood Test:

  • for semi-quantitative detection of vitamin D3 levels from a blood sample,
  • an excellent aid in detecting deficiency of this sunshine vitamin,
  • fast results - you can read them in just 10 minutes,
  • testing in the comfort of your own home - practical and discreet,
  • the kit contains everything you need to take the test - except a timer to measure the time,
  • easy to use - instructions for use are also included

Use

Testing:

  • Wash your hands with soap and warm water. Before opening the test bag, warm it to room temperature before removing the test cartridge.
  • Remove and discard the lancet cap.
  • Using the alcohol swab provided, clean the tip of the middle or ring finger and prepare (disinfect) the injection site.
  • Press the side of the lancet from which you removed the cap against the tip of your finger (it is recommended to use the ring finger).
  • Hold your hand down and massage the finger you have pricked to squeeze out the drop of blood.
  • Without squeezing the drip bulb, touch it to the blood sample. The blood is automatically absorbed into the marked spot (S) on the dropper. If the blood sample does not reach the mark, you can massage your finger again to get more blood. Try to avoid air bubbles.
  • Push the blood into the sample well on the test cartridge by squeezing the dropper bulb. Wait until the blood has completely broken down in the well. Open the buffer container and add 2 drops of buffer to the sample well (B) on the test cartridge.
  • Wait until colored lines appear.
  • Read the results after 10 minutes. Compare the intensity of the colored line in area (T) with the attached color card to determine the vitamin D level in the blood. After 20 minutes, the result is no longer valid.

Interpretation of results:

  • Lack: Two colored lines appear. One is in the control area (C) and the other is in the test area (T). The intensity of the line in the test area (T) is the same or darker than the line shown on the color card supplied with the kit.
  • Insufficient: Two color lines are displayed. One is in the control area (C) and the other is in the test area (T). The intensity of the line in the test area (T) is darker than the 30 ng/ml line shown on the colour card supplied with the kit and lighter than the 10 ng/ml line shown on the colour card supplied with the kit.
  • Sufficient: Two color lines are displayed. One line should always appear in the control area (C) and the faint colored line should appear in the test area (T). The intensity of the line in the range (T) is equal to or brighter than the 30 ng/ml line shown on the color card.
  • Excess: A single colored line will appear in the control area (C). No coloured line appears in the area of the test line (T). If the result indicates an excess of vitamin D, it is advisable to consult a physician.
  • Not valid: The control line (C) does not appear. Insufficient sample volume or improper procedures are the most likely reasons for check line failure. Read the instructions and repeat the test with a new test.
