Opis

Quick test to find out the level of ferritin in the blood - it can detect iron deficiency!

White Lab's Quick Blood Test for Iron Deficiency is designed to check the level of ferritin in the blood.

Ferritin is a protein important for iron storage and detoxification. It is found in the liver, spleen and bone marrow, heart muscle, placenta, and tumor tissue. Its low concentration in the blood may be caused by anemia from iron deficiency, acute and chronic blood loss, pregnancy, or iron absorption abnormalities.

Iron deficiency anemia is prevalent in children and women, especially in women who still have regular menstrual periods (at least 20% of women of reproductive age are iron deficient). The main symptoms are pallor, feeling tired, headache, rapid heartbeat or shortness of breath when exercising.

Practical and discreet - reliable results in as little as 5 minutes

Benefits of White Lab's Rapid Iron Deficiency Blood Test:

  • for quantitative determination of ferritin in a finger prick blood sample,
  • excellent assistance in the detection of iron deficiency,
  • fast results - you can read them in just 5 minutes,
  • testing in the comfort of your own home- convenient and discreet,
  • the kit contains everything you need to take the test - except a timer to measure the time,
  • easy to use- instructions for use are also included

Use

Testing:

  • Wash your hands with soap and warm water. Before opening the test bag, warm it to room temperature before removing the test cartridge.
  • Remove and discard the lancet cap.
  • Use the alcohol swab provided to clean the tip of the middle finger or ring finger to prepare (disinfect) the injection site.
  • Press the side of the lancet from which you removed the cap against the tip of your finger (it is recommended to use your ring finger).
  • Hold your hand down and massage the finger you have pricked to squeeze out the drop of blood.
  • Without squeezing the drip bulb, touch it to the blood sample. The blood is automatically absorbed into the marked spot on the dropper. If the blood sample does not reach the mark, you can massage your finger again to get more blood. Try to avoid air bubbles.
  • Push the blood into the sample well on the test cartridge by squeezing the dropper bulb. Wait until the blood has completely broken down in the well. Open the buffer bottle and add 1 drop of buffer to the sample well on the test cartridge.
  • Wait until colored lines appear.
  • Read the results after 5 minutes. After 10 minutes, the result is no longer valid.

Interpretation of results:

  • Normal: Two colored lines are displayed. One is in the control area (C) and the other is in the test area (T). This result means that the concentration of ferritin in the blood is normal, i.e. there is no iron deficiency.
  • Abnormal: One coloured line appears - the control line (C). This result means that the concentration of ferritin in the blood is too low. Consult your doctor as this may be an iron deficiency.
  • Not valid: The control line (C) is not displayed. Insufficient sample volume or improper procedures are the most likely reasons for control line failure. Read the instructions and repeat the test with a new test
