Triplat or fenugreek (Latin Trigonella foenum-graecum) has been used since ancient times. Today it is most commonly used as a spice and is one of the classic ingredients in curry mixtures.

Greek fennel is often used in combination with asafoetida. The mildly astringent, yellowish spice is mainly added to curries, curry mixes and dal dishes.
