Beee royal jelly or "gelee royale", meaning royal jelly, is the most precious gift of the bee hive. It is produced by the nurse bees, who feed it to all the larvae for the first three days, and after three days only to the queen bee, who feeds on it for the rest of her life. This is why the queen is different from the worker bees, as she is the only fertile bee in the hive, being the largest and living up to 10 times longer.
