Iron is one of the most important minerals because it plays a key role in the formation of hemoglobin- the protein in red blood cells that carries oxygen throughout the body. It is found in many foods - red meat, fish, seafood, seeds, nuts, green leafy vegetables and dried fruit - but not in high amounts.

Use
